Individuals with COPD may have many sleep-related problems. These may range from sleep interruptions and insomnia to severe sleep apnea syndromes. These nighttime problems can result in mild problems. Or they can really interfere with your normal day-to-day activities. Sometimes, severe sleep disorders can even lead to major diseases. In this chapter, we provide a summary of many sleep problems. The more severe conditions will need the help of a doctor who has experience with sleeprelated problems. Some cases may involve testing in a sleep lab.
